DescriptionA thermometer consisting of a thin glass tube with a mercury enclosed in a larger glass vessel with a milk glass scale going from 0 to 6 degrees Celsius, with a precision of 1/20 of a degree. It has a long neck between the mercury bulb and the section marked with a scale. The mercury capillary makes an s-bend at the top. The the thermometer is sealed by a brass cap with a perforated knob on its top.
Signedon scale: Dr H. Geissler Nachf Frz Müller in Bonn
FunctionA thermometer with a narrow range and considerable precision. There is a chance of this being a Beckmann thermometer in which the user can pour additional mercury in to change the range of the thermometer.
