DescriptionThe square wooden box with dovetailed joints has a finished base with an interesting profile. There are two countersunk screw holes in the underside of the base. The sides of the box are straight. Two holes in one face are marked with a minus and plus sign above them.

Historical AttributesThis electrical box has long served as a stand to hold a 12-inch terrestrial globe by Loring. It is unconventional but does keep the sphere from rolling.
