DescriptionGlass slide projector in black crackle finish. It uses a 1000-watt Mazda lamp guaranteeing a brilliant screen picture at a distance up to 100 or 150 feet. The objective is 2.5 inches in diameter for a 16-inch focus. It is also equipped with a 15-foot cord with plug and snap switch. When not in used, it is stored in a metal carrying case. This one has been etched "HARVARD BOTANICAL MUSEUM." The lid is held shut with a thick strap and buckle.

FunctionThis delineascope was used in auditorium projections, which necessitated high-powered illumination. According to one of the promotional brochures "This model will accommodate a wide range of objectives giving pictures of the desired size at any distance... This [delineascope] is of such size that one person can easily carry and set it up. Its manipulation is so simple that no special operator is needed. It may be attached to any regular circuit."
