Curatorial RemarksUnusual style. Free standing on flat surface with leveling screws and pendulum level. Compass needle is of 18th century European style. Compass cover glass is low grade and appears to be original. Latitude is about 31° (Shanghai is 31° 15', Tokyo is 35° 40').
