Signedon face: A. GAIFFE À PARIS / G. GAIFFE FILS SUCCESSEUR
Inscribedon face: Galvanomètre Apériodique Milliampères. / R= 4 (omega) 76 / 106794
Curatorial RemarksAlso marked "Galvanomètre Apériodique Milliampères."
FunctionMeasures direct currents by way of a moving long coil in a u-shaped magnet with a string on a small pulley mounted on a spool on the point shaft. A small inclination of the coil therefore moves the pointer over a considerable arc.
