DescriptionIn addition to a horizontal dial, this compendium contains a vertical dial, a dial to indicate the length of the day and the night, a pin gnomon dial for Italian hours, a compass rose for determining the direction of the wind, a calendar of epacts from 1597 to 1615, and a volvelle for converting lunar to solar time when finding the time by moonlight.
