DescriptionThis is a Bausch & Lomb continental B student-type compound microscope. It has a heavy brass u-shaped foot and an extendable eyepiece tube. The coarse adjustment is by rack and pinion. The fine adjustment is by a knob on top of the post. A double nosepiece is attached to the body.
There is a fixed, square stage. A mirror and a sliding plate with a collar for separate cup diaphragms are located beneath the stage.
