DescriptionThis is a box and bellows plate camera for 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch plates. It is mounted on two parallel, nickel-plated rods that are 5 inches apart and 22 1/2 inches long, which form an extended optical bench similar the bench holding the microscope portion of the set up.
The camera consists of two leather covered frames (6 3/4" x 7") with a bellows between them. The frames are each mounted on adjustable, brass clamps attached to sliders on the optical bench. The camera lens is 3 1/8 inch diameter and 7 inches long. The rear frame has a ground glass plate and slots for photographic plate holders.
A condensing lens in currently positioned on a slider in front of the camera. Its lens is missing.
