          DescriptionThis is a swing automatic microtome. It has a curved casting, roughly in the shape of a quarter section of a deep bowl. Additional equipment includes a knife holder, an operating knob, a feed mechanism, and a drip pan. A gas hose is present to carry carbon dioxide gas to cool the knife.

          The instrument is constructed out of cast iron and brass, and finished in black enamel and nickel.
