DescriptionA heavy cast iron base and columns supports an electric motor that makes the front disk turn. Parallel to the shaft, put in motion by a belt attached to the motor, there is an endless screw. On that screw, an attachment links both the shaft and endless screw. This attachment moves from one end to the other by turning the black knob opposite to the front disk. A scale (0-360, divided in 5) and pointer determines where the attachment is. Was used to generate a counter rotation of the color wheel. On the front disk a black and white spinning wheel is fixed to make optical illusions. Appears to have been hand-made in paper. By spinning such a wheel, one will often see interesting color effects. The motor is a Dumore type KB.
