DescriptionThis is a Reichert compound microscope. It has a u-shaped base and a tilting stand with a locking lever located on the blackened inclining joint. The instrument is constructed of brass, with various minor parts and trimmings in nickel. The monocular body is fitted with a revolving triple nosepiece. There is rack and pinion for the coarse adjustment and a fine adjustment screw on top of the post.

The stage is circular and rotating, and has a nickel-plated top. The substage equipment, including an Abbe condenser and a double mirror, lies beneath.

This instrument is accompanied by a standing wooden case with a metal handle.
