DescriptionA radio telegraph relay or sounder made by Signal Electric Manufacturing Company and distributed by Central Scientific Company. The device consists of two wire coils and one horseshoe magnet mounted on a rectangular metal plate positioned on top of a rectangular wooden base with spacers. A brass bracket supports the sounding arm on one end and a horseshoe bracket supports the arm, secured by a pivot, at the other end.
The base has a pair of brass binding posts with knurled-edge adjustment screws. The base rests on three insulating rubber feet, which are damaged. The binding posts and coils are connected by wiring on the underside of the base.
