This tube is found in a collection of tubes that David P. Wheatland used in the 1940s to teach radio engineering. The cluster is mounted on a wooden board. A tag in Mr. Wheatland's hand reads: TUBES USED IN DEMONSTRATION CONFERENCE N.T.S. COMMUNICATIONS - RADIO ENG. FOR 12 CLASSES ABOUT FEB 1942 TO JAN '43 BY DPW.
[Some tubes with the group are identified as donated later--e.g. VT1152--and presumably replace original ones in the holes.]
