Printed along the top edge of the face of the ruler are scales in inches (left to right) and half-inches (right to left). Along the bottom edge of the face of the ruler are scales in eighth-inches (left to right) and quarter-inches (right to left).
Printed along the top edge of the back of the ruler are scales in three-quarters inches (left to right) and three-eighths inches (right to left). Along the bottom edge of the back of the ruler are: an inverted scale in eighth-inches, graduated into quarters (on left, labeled "1 1/2"); and a scale in quarter-inches, graduated into eighths (on right, labeled "3").
