FunctionThis is part of a chemical dosimeter for ultraviolet light. The dosimeter would hold glass tubes with a substance that reacted to ultraviolet light changing its color in proportion to its exposure to it. One could determine the intensity of ultraviolet radiation and total exposure by analyzing the change in color of the chemical after a period of time.
