DescriptionCylindrical tube open at one end and closed at the other end. A glass loop is attached at the closed end. A spring is wrapped around one end of the tube with a wire loop under the open end. A string is tied through the loop at the top.
Tube is graduated from 1 to 13 millim. from the closed end. Tick marks mark every tenth and numbers at every whole number.

Storage dimensions include storage box.
FunctionThe evaporimeter would be filled with water. A blotting card would be fixed firmly underneath the open end by means of the spring. The water from the tube would diffuse through the card and evaporate. The evaporation would cause the water level in the tube to drop.
