BiographyPyrolectric Instrument Company was founded by Edwin F. Northrup (1866-1940) in 1916 in New Jersey. In 1910, Northrup ended his partnership with Morris Leeds and returned to academia as a professor of Physics at Princeton. Their firm, Leeds & Northrup (est. 1903), continued on without Northrup's involvement.
