BiographyA. Bürja was born in Kiekebusch on the 30. August 1752 and worked as Professor of mathematics in Berlin. He became known for his work on gravitation and his textbook on astronomy which was published between 1794 and 1803. Bürja died in Berlin on the 16. February 1816.
