Dring & Fage

Dring & Fage, founded by John Dring and William Fage and active from 1790-1940 in London, manufactured measuring instruments including hydrometers, saccrometers, and thermometers. The company made hygrometers for His Majesty's Board of Excise; it also made instruments for the Colonial Government.

This company has a long history, starting in 1790 until after 1940. The Dring & Fage firm suceeded John Dring, who worked as a glassblower and instrument maker from 1784 to 1790.
