Janet Taylor

Wife of George Taylor (d. 1853), a mathematical instrument maker in London, Mrs. Janet Taylor worked with her husband from about 1831 until 1835, when she took over his business. She died in 1870, but the firm carried on after her death until 1875. She also ran a navigation school.
