      Descriptionradiosonde mechanism, an instrument for detecting and transmitting data on barometric pressure, temperature and humidity from the atmosphere. The instrument has a small aneroid and bimetal thermometer and is mounted on a rectangular wooden support.

      The wooden support has six screws, spaced along either side. Five screws and one bolt secure the instruments to the support.
