DescriptionA tall hexagonal plastic bottle with a rounded bottom edge, off-white and barely translucent. On one side of the bottle is a measurement scale ranging from 50 to 100 cubic centimeters (or CC's). This side also features a measurement scale ranging from 1-4 oz. The neck has a slightly smaller diameter than the body of the bottle. On the outside of the neck is an external thread that wraps around twice.

FunctionThis bottle was filled with water and mounted, with the feeder tube facing down, onto a cage with rats. This particular bottle was used in J. B. Little's laboratory to dole out water "ad libitum" to the rats in order to measure their "antidiuretic activity."
