DescriptionThis instrument consists of three roughly identical solid ivory spheres and a smaller one, all suspended by string from a wooden frame. The latter is equipped with a beat plate, numbered from zero to four (centered on zero). The spheres can be attached at various positions on top. The rectangular base is supported by four round feet.
Small white "M" painted at base of stand. It was stamped twice, in ink, with old Harvard inventory number: "18 26". There is also another old number: "15.2.1".
