DescriptionThis item is a complete Köhler illumination system for numerical aperture (n.a.) from 0.16 to 1.40. It consists of a condensing lens attached to a prism which is attached to an optical tube with a ring that adjusts for numerical aperture.
The instrument is stored in a black wooden box covered with buckram and padded in black velvet. The box holds three filter glasses and five small lamps with blackened bulbs. There is also a small, cylindrical cardboard box that seems to be used to store the lamps.
