DescriptionHorizontal dial on a thin metal cast plate with chapter ring markings IIII to XII to I to VIII and 5 minute subdivisions. The seperate gnomon is marked "Berlin 52° ?1M 30S. On the back of the plate there is a compass rose with 32 points, 16 of which are marked NORD, NNE, N est, ENE, EST, ESE, S est, SSE, SUD, SSO, S Ouest, OSO, OUEST, ONO, N Ouest, and NN Ouest.,circular
InscribedThe dial plate is marked "HORIZONTAL DL 52" / "DEGRES DE LATITUDES" AND BELOW THAT "EQUATION DU SOLEIL" followed by a listing of months and dates and times in 10 day intervals.
