          DescriptionA large glass prism with faces that are 6 x 10 inches. The angle is 60°. The corners are ground flat. The working faces are polished.

          FunctionThis large prism was used in spectroscopic studies of the stars. The prism would be mounted at the objective end of a telescope. A photographic plate might be attached at the eyepiece end.
