DescriptionThis instrument consists of a projecting prism and condensing lens at the top, both on a vertically moving arm designed for focusing purposes. That arm is attached to a drum containing an inclined mirror (inside) and a horizontal surface (top) on which light was shone. The drum rests on a telescoping stand, supported by three leveling screws.
