Material
DescriptionA voltmeter consisting of a steamed walnut box with an arc-shaped window through which a scale with two labels may be seen. The upper scale goes from 0-150 and the lower scale goes from 0-75 volts. The scale is nonlinear with intervals between amps longer as one moves up the scale. The scale has a pointer held by two aluminum wires that originate at a moving vane at the center of a mechanism composed of a metal tape coil and a hair spring. (Normally hidden from view by the box). There is a reflecting band under the scale.
The box has three binding posts on top, labeled, "150," "75," and "± ." It has a leather carrying handle along the right side, and rubber feet along the left side.
Centered, on the front of the case, is a circular plate with a screw labeled, "CORRECTION."
