        DescriptionThis is a Ross polarizing compound binocular microscope. The heavy brass instrument is equipped with a set of long binocular eyepiece tubes with moveable width spaced from a sliding track. There is rack and pinion for the coarse adjustment and a fine adjustment knob located between the binocular track and tube.

        The microscope has a round rotating stage with mechanical motions. Substage equipment includes a condenser, a polarizer unit, and an adjustable mirror on a round tube. The entire instrument is supported by a tripod base.

        There is an accompanying mahogany parts box with minimal accessories inside.
