DescriptionThis is a Ross monocular compound microscope. The monocular body is supported by a horizontal bracket, which is mounted on a rectangular post. The post is attached to two flat pillars, which rest on a tripod base. Rack and pinion is supplied for the coarse focus. Fine adjustment is by a screw located on the horizontal bracket.
There is a mechanical square stage. The substage equipment includes a condenser on an adjustable bracket and a mirror on a round tube.
This microscope is accompanied by a standing wooden case. The case stores various accessories including five objective, a condenser lens, and eye bracket with four eyepieces, a polarizing lens, a reducing ring, and stage forceps.
