DescriptionThis is a Crouch binocular compound microscope. It has a curved arm and a standing tripod base with a curved u-shaped back. The binocular body is comprised of two converging body tubes. The coarse adjustment is by rack and pinion. The fine adjustment is by a screw and lever located near the nosepiece.
The microscope has a circular, rotating stage with a knurled edge. The stage also has a glass surface and a hole in the center. Sub stage equipment includes a condenser, a rotating disc diaphragm, and a mirror on a swinging tube.
The instrument is constructed of brass. The arm and base are blackened.
