Bibliography
DescriptionThis is an unsigned compound monocular microscope, designed in the style of the Ross microscopes. The isntrument is constructed of brass and plated in nickel, with the exception of the stage and condenser, which are blackend. It has a straight monocular body supported by a horizontal bracket with the fine adjustment knob on top. The coarse focus is by rack and pinion.
The microscope post is hinged between two flat pillars, which are mounted on a tripod base. The square stage is equipped with stage clips and has a joystick enabling x-y motion. Located beneath the stage is a condenser mount (condenser is missing), diaphragm wheel, and a substage mirror.
Accessories include a magnifier which attaches to the stage and a custom made compact case of thick wood.
