DescriptionA Siemens & Halske portable voltmeter; a moving coil meter with string suspension similar to Weston Model #1. Instrument is housed in a gray metal case with a suspension tube centered on the case, and is mounted on a rectangular wooden base with leveling screws. The base has a circular level mounted on the face.
The instrument display is arc-shaped and an a scale behind the glass is printed in increments of 0-180 and 0 - 1600°. The instrument indicator is connected to an assembly suspended from the suspension tube.
An engraved plate on the base reads, "1° = 0,0001 volt; 404 int. ohm."
An adjustment screw is centered on the front side of the instrument. A light-colored inscription on front corner reads, "274."
