            DescriptionA wattmeter, for measuring electric current, housed in a hinged wooden carrying case, with felt covered interior, and shaped spaces designed to hold the instrument. Meter rests on a rectangular wooden base also containing resistors and shunts, and has a bakelite terminal board.

            Case has a latch closure, and an inscription stenciled on it in white lettering, "161 810 / Precision WM / 50A 100A / 30 1500V / MI / Std. Lab"

            On its face, the instrument has a curved, rounded display window, with a scale marked in increments of 0 - 150. A curved reflecting strip is below the scale.

            There are 3 metal plaques on front of wooden instrument case, (1) "Precision-Wattmeter / Max. E.M.F. 30 Volts / Max. Current 100 Amp. / Siemens & Halske;" (2) "Imported By / James Biddle / Philadelphia U.S.A.;" (3) "Germany."
