          DescriptionPlastic (acetate?) disc representing compass card with volvel and index arm. Compass rose card with scale, 0-360 degrees, increases counterclockwise, marked in intervals of 1 degree, labelled every 10 degrees. Cardinal points marked in large block letters. Sylized fleur-de-lys, labelled intercardinal points. Directions on the back of the compass card. Marked on the volvel is a vernier scale, 45-0-45 degrees marked in intervals of 1 degree, labelled every 5 degrees.

          A brass divider with steel tips was included in the box (now 1997-1-1865, kept separate).
