DescriptionThis Abbe-type microscope camera lucida is Spencer model 505. It has a large plane mirror backed with an aluminum rectangle with a black-crackle finish. The mirror is hinged to an aluminum arm. A scale of degrees (15-75, marked every 5) is on the joint to indicate the inclination of the mirror, which has an index line.

The arm is divided into millimeters to indicate the distance of the mirror from the microscope. The arm goes into a fixture and locked in place with a screw.

The fixture has a clamping ring to go around the eyepiece. The prism box is on a swing-away mount. It has a turret of filters around it.

The fitted case is made of wood, covered in buckram stamped to look like leather, and lined in red velvet.
