          DescriptionThis accessory is a small leather box with an object-slide micrometer signed by "E. Leitz Wetzlar" (1308b). It is labeled, "Objektmikrometer 1/100 m/m." The box is covered in black leather and padded with red silk and velvet. It holds a fragile square of glass.

          Historical AttributesThis instrument was used in Jefferson Laboratory prep room of the Harvard Physics Department. The microscope and eyepieces and objectives were found together. Other components and accessories were gathered from the prep room to make up this outfit.
