Material
DescriptionThis is a brass mounting for a prism. The upright frame of brass (blackend on the interior) would have held a rectangular prism (now missing). Two screws would have tightened the prism in the frame. This frame is soldered to a brass disk, which serves as the base. The base is mounted by means of three knurled leveling screws on a tri-lobe bracket with a central column. The column is hollow and designed to fit on a rod of square stock.
