DescriptionThis Argus projector comes in a rectangular, leatherette case with a black crackle finish, a leatherette handle attached to the top with two square metal hoops fastened to the case, and a metal lock at the middle. This case is lined in bright green velvet. There are two plaques on this case. One is made of metal, and reads "ARGUS PROJECTOR." Above these words, there is an eye with beams emerging from it. Above this plaque, there is a black plaque with gold typeface firmly fastened to the case with two small screws. It reads "G.W. Pierce," because George Washington Pierce owned this projector and perhaps used it in recording scenes of insects and other wildlife in his later years, as he was often inclined to do.

The projector is well-ventilated--the body of this device consists of two rectangular, metallic devices with a black crackle finish and many vents. The film strip holder is attached to the projector. A slide holder rests in the bottom of the storage case. Two rectangular lenses/filters are stored in the case as is one black metal mask. The number "1230" is inscribed on shiny metal strip at the bottom of the lens end. George W. Pierce also attached an owner's plaque to this projector that is identical to the one found on the case.
