DescriptionSmall, round General Electric D.C. voltmeter, U.S.N. (United States navy) type CG-22270, DW-41, model 8DW41. The round instrument display window has matte-finish anti-glare glass, and the dial is marked from 0 to 2.0, D.C. kilovolts. The dial has a center-mounted needle pointer.

Curatorial RemarksLikely made in Bridgeport, CT, like other GE meters with the same provenance. GE acquired the Bridgeport plant after World War II.
Probably used in the Psycho-Acoustic Laboratory. See inscriptions on instrument WJ1288.
