DescriptionA blue iron cylinder contains a sodium iodide crystal joined to a photo tube inside, held in place with paper rings and a square plate screwed into the top of the tube. Inside tube is scinitllator labeled "Harnshaw NaI (TI) Integral line"
FunctionA NaI scintillator in the box flashes with a particle passes through it, which sends light down the photomultiplier tube.
