Material
DescriptionA wood and metal stand, possibly used as part of a chemical or demonstration apparatus. The stand has a circular, turned wood base which has a three cornered metal bracket secured to the top by three metal slot-headed screws. The bracket supports a metal rod, which in turn supports a flat wooden plank.
The plank has semi-circular cutouts at both ends, and the end pieces are roughly rounded and shaped. A pair of metal bands exends along the center, one on either side of the plank. The bands and plank are held together by a metal screw and wing nut and a pair of slot-headed metal screws.
The use and purpose of the stand is unknown.
