            DescriptionA heavy upright scale, resting on a t-shaped base, suitable for counter of a grocer or butcher. Has no springs, and weighs objects up to 30 lbs. The scale is metal, painted black, with scuffs and scratches overall.

            In the front, the scale has a circular, flat, enamel platform on which to put objects to be weighed. The back of the scale, taller than the front, is topped by a cylindrical compartment with a rectangular window through which rotating cylinders display the weight. An inscription in yellow paint on the front of the cylinder reads, "GFS 849."

            On the back of the scale is the inscription, "No Springs Honest Weight." Scale has a beam with cylindrical moveable weight along the side.

            Scale includes a loose brass part with the inscription, "151429"
