DescriptionThe camera lucida is fixed to a horizontal arm, itself fixed to a telescoping arm. The latter is supported by a weighted brass stand. The camera lucida is equipped with a prism inside, a pivoting square glass and two rectangular blue-tinted pivoting lenses. The small peephole is where the draughtsman would see the image and the paper on which it was drawn.
The instrument is stamped with an old Harvard number: "9 110".
