DescriptionAn eyepiece and lens are mounted at both ends of a brass arm. In the middle is what appears to be a small Nicol prism set in a removable casing, one side of which has a pinhole. The Nicol prism is set into the central mount. The arm can be inclined and its position secured by a wingnut. The instrument is supported by a telescoping rod fixed on a weighted circular base.
