        Curatorial RemarksErnst described this dial as English c. 1500, lead, however its style is consistent with New England window dials of the mid to late 18th century.
        FunctionTime finding at a latitide of 42° from a fixed mounting , properly oreiented with the gnomon pointing to true North.
