DescriptionThe horizontal dial carved? on a square block of Solnhofen stone. The gnomon for the dial is missing.. The chapter ring is marked IIII-XII-I-VIII with 30 minute subdivisions. The chapter ring is designed for a latitude of approximately 49°. There is no compass but the four cardinal directions are marked SEPTENTRIO, ORIENS, MERIDIES, and OCCIDENS.,square
