DescriptionThis is a Bausch & Lomb simple dissecting Y microscope. It has a blackened u-shaped base made of iron and a nickel-plated brass vertical pillar. The top of the pillar has an articulated nickel arm with two ring mounts. Two objective lenses are nickel plated and stored in the box. There is a rack and pinion coarse adjustment.
The rectangular stage made of a blackened brass frame with a glass top. Stage clips are nickel. The substage mirror is large and plano-concave. It is fork mounted on a swinging arm. Two wooden arm rests are included. These fold up for storage in the standing wooden case.
The case has a rectangular brass handle and a ivory name plate.
