DescriptionThis is a Scheik compound microscope with a medium-sized stand. The instrument is constructed of brass and it has a folding tripod base on which is mounted a conical pillar. The pillar supports a triangle bar, which carries a slider with an arm holding the monocular body tube. The coarse focus is by rack and pinion. The fine adjustment is by a screw hinged to the pillar.
There is a square brass stage with a round inlaid glass top. The underside has mountings for stops and condensers.
This instrument is accompanied by a number of accessories, including an exchangeable triple nosepiece, live box, a bull's eye lens, and a camera lucida.
There is also a flat wooden case for storing the instrument.
