          DescriptionThis is a Schiek large compound microscope. It has a folding tripod base, which carries a conical pillar with a titling hinge holding a long triangular steel rail. The upper part of the rail carries a slider with an arm holding the monocular tube, while the lower end has a slider for the square stage. The coarse focus is by rack and pinion. The fine adjustment is by a screw located on the lower end of the rail.

          This instrument is accompanied by a flat wooden case.
